Galaxy S9 getting 2nd One UI 2.0 beta [ZSL2/3] with major bug fixes

Samsung has started rolling out the second One UI 2.0 beta update to the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. It brings fixes for several bugs and the December 2019 security patch. The size is nearly 300MB.

The software versions are:

  • Galaxy S9: G960FXXU7ZSL2
  • Galaxy S9+: G965FXXU7ZSL2
  • Galaxy S9 (Korean): ZSL3
  • Galaxy S9+ (Korean): ZSL3

If you want to check for the update manually, you can go the device Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Bug Fix: (Translated) – ZSL3

  • Intermittent screen blackening after fingerprint lock screen is released-
  • Data leak due to GPS after OS update
  • S Health step measurement error

Bug Fix: ZSL2

  • Lockup and reboot persists after connecting mobile hotspot
  • If a page is loaded with a lot of text or images while using Samsung Internet, it will be terminated randomly.
  • Reboot every time VPN runs – Crash occurs due to unsupported mobile hotspot 5GHz
  • FC occurs when running link sharing app
  • The message ‘Call/text on other devices’ does not disappear in the quick panel
  • Device fever occurs during game
  • Samsung Dex system UI crashed
  • Screen blacks intermittently after unlocking lock screen through fingerprint recognition
