Game Builder Garage new programming tool, lets players build own games for Nintendo Switch
Nintendo has announced Game Builder Garage, a programming tool that allows players to create their own games for the Nintendo Switch. An educational device aimed at children, it will be available on Nintendo Switch on June 11 and retail for $30.
Describes the Nintendo title as a game design and visual programming tool that includes “step-by-step lessons created by brains at Nintendo”. The gameplay trailer gives a glimpse of how it works. At the bottom of the screen are boxes with various modules, inputs, and outputs. Players can catch an action like a “jump” and map the button by drawing a line between them.

The game is based on the ideas of Super Mario Maker. A section shows the platforms pulling a finger on a scale and their size. The trailer suggests that players can create background music, textures, and more in the game.
The game has a colorful interface, but it can seem very complicated. The quick reel of example games built into the tool shows everything from a combat game to an asteroid-style space shooter featuring a giraffe.

The game offers guided lessons that teach players how to create seven different games as well as a free programming mode. It sounds like a more child-friendly version of Media Molecular Dreams. Players can share their creations with friends via code. Nintendo This feature allows friends to work together on a project.
This is a surprising announcement that is in line with Nintendo’s recent educational games. It is similar to the Nintendo Labo, which includes cardboard projects that players can create.
