Garena recently celebrated the popularity of Free Fire during the Free Fire World Series 2021 tournament. According to the Sports Charts, FFWS is one of the most successful sports events for the 2021 Free Fire, with a maximum of 5,414,953 spectators and an average of 2,087,307 spectators.

The Hindi stream for FFWS 2021 also set a new record with 1.9 million views on YouTube. It is followed by Portuguese and Indonesian streams with over 1 million views.

Despite its success, the Garena Free Fire is still in trouble in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh government is reportedly in talks to ban free fires in the country. According to Daily Manab Zameen, a Bangladeshi publication, several government agencies have recommended the cessation of PUBG mobile and free fire in the country, citing gaming addiction among the youth.

Reports of a free fire ban in Bangladesh come as soon as Garena announces special free fire servers for the country, which will go live on June 8.
