According to a new forecast from Gartner, the global market for technologies enabling hyper-automation will reach $ 596.6 billion in 2022. That’s more than $ 481.6 billion in 2020 and a projected $ 532.4 billion this year.

Gartner recalls that hyper-automation is an approach that allows you to quickly define and automate as many processes as possible using technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Low-Cost Coding Application Development Platforms (LCAP), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and virtual assistants.

Tools like RPA, LCAP, and AI are considered process agnostic software. This means that they can be used in various fields. According to analysts, it is software that is independent of processes that will be most in-demand and will serve as a key factor in the development of the trend of hyper-automation.

“Hyper-automation has evolved from an option to a survival condition,” said Fabrizio Biscotti, vice president of research at Gartner. “Organizations need a greater degree of IT and business automation as they are forced to accelerate digital transformation in a post-COVID-19 world where digital development has come to the fore.”

In terms of returns, Gartner expects organizations to reduce operating costs by 30% by 2024 through changes related to hyper-automation.
