On Twitter, the developer said, “We are focused on providing the highest quality game for our team, creative partners, and maintaining the safety and well-being of families. With this in mind, we have moved our release window to 2022. We have decided to do so.”
Hulst said he could not confirm whether Horizon Forbidden West was ready to ship this holiday, but said: “we are working as hard as we can to verify it as soon as possible.”
Hulst reveals that Horizon Forbidden West is not a cross-generation game ever coming from PlayStation Studios. The upcoming God of War title and Grand Turismo 7 will launch on both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
We have not seen any news about the upcoming God of War title since it came out in 2020, Horizon Forbidden West has recently taken the center stage of the PlayStation.
