Google is up to give a new look to its app and services, and the mobile OS is no exception to this theory. In the latest edition, the tech giant is updating the Google Android logo with a wordmark and a 3D robot head. After four years of continuity, it’s finally time to make innovative changes.
Speaking of the new logo, Google is making some shifts in the wordmark and transforming the Android icon into a 3D robot head. Eventually, the new wordmark will start with an upper case letter ‘A’, instead of the same lowercasing treatment.
On the flip side, the letter ‘n’ and ‘r’ will appear in a completely rounded shape, bringing back the font style of the old days (2008). In terms of icons, Android will take a three-dimensional form that will highlight the layout more accurately.
The new identity of Android first appeared in an advertisement for Android talking about first-party apps on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and Flip 4 devices. The manufacturer further said that more inputs on this matter will take place in the future. Perhaps, we may find the new logo alongside the Android 14 launch later this year.
