Google is adding some new UI enhancements to the Files app alongside a useful Smart Search feature. As the name suggests, the capability will help in automatically detecting the file type you are searching for, and show the relevant results.
According to the details shared by a Telegram channel, the Smart Search feature in Google Files makes it easier to hunt for certain files, folders, and documents in the device storage. At the same time, the feature can scan documents and image files and display them in a separate section.
The Smart Search feature is enabled by default for many users. But if you didn’t see any such setting, you can turn it on manually.
On the other hand, the company has made changes to the Settings UI of the application. Users will find well-organized sections that let them easily navigate through their preferences. Moreover, you can access the new Document feature that enables you to store your essentials securely.
