Google preps ‘Link Your Devices’ feature for switching calls on Android

Posted on

Google has recently dropped several videos revealing “it’s all good’ on Android to iPhone switchers and at the same time, these clips dragged our attention to a new Link Your Devices feature. It looks like the company is working on some prominent capabilities that will initiate better sharing between handy gadgets.

Linking devices is not a new term among smartphones these days. We are already aware of many tech giants that offer the same facility to their users. However, the main Android OS is still far away from having such customizations, and so are Pixel devices.

But things are finally taking a new turn on this matter. Spotted by well-known Google analysts, Android will get the ‘Link Your Devices’ feature in the time ahead. Eventually, users signed into the same Google account on different handsets will be able to use the functionality.

It will further let you perform call switching as well as Internet sharing between devices. The new section will appear under Settings > Google > Devices & Sharing. Perhaps, we may find this feature going live with the stable Android 14 release.
