Google Messages to bring new feature that automatically remove OTP messages after 24 hours

Google Message is an SMS and instant messaging application, which supports rich communication service using Jibe’s servers which uses the RCS’s Universal Profile and more. Now Google Message is working on a way to automatically delete a one-time password (OTP) messages after 24 hours.

When you access the service and in several countries whenever you make payments through internet banking, or credit or debit cards. These OTPs can beings fill your inbox and make it difficult to find messages that require your attention.

As per the report of XDA Developers, Google Messages is working on a feature that will automatically delete OTP messages after 24 hours from their receipt. It seems users will be shown on whether the app should automatically clean up the stack of OTPs.

Google Messages v6.7.067 contains the following new strings:

Currently, there is no official confirmation available about the roll out of auto delete OTP messages feature.
