Google has officially announced that the Play services is ending support for the 10-year-old Android KitKat 4.4 operating support. The chocolaty build has now reached an end and will no longer receive any new features, fixes, or improvements for its running devices.
Android devices with old OS(s) stop obtaining monthly updates after some time. Although, Google keeps blessing them with new enhancements via Play Services. Eventually, this acts as a backbone for corresponding phones and helps them to gain useful capabilities.
But as soon as users switch to new operating systems, the old OS loses device counts which results in the end of several services for it. Speaking of which, Google has ended the Play Services support for Android KitKat 4.4. To be specific, the functionalities drop for API levels 19 and 20.
