Google adds FIDO2 PIN support and new changes to Android Play System update

Posted on

Google has dispatched the September 2023 update for Play System and as mentioned earlier, the company has added new improvements along with FIDO2 PIN support. On the side hand, the tech giant has optimized network and system-related functions.

Eventually, Google Play System updated the Android support for the FIDO2 security standard with a new PIN Protocol. The main motive of this implementation is to protect your passkey against potential threats.

It’s unclear how things will work on this matter, though it is possible that Android may provide built-in support for entering the required PIN for a connected FIDO2 security key. Thus, this will add an extra layer of security to your handset.

You can learn more about the new update in the changelog below:

  • [Phone] A new setting page makes it simpler for you to manage your survey choices and preferences.
