Google preps redesigned Settings menu for ChromeOS

Posted on

Google is planning some new tweaks for ChromeOS and has started its work on a redesigned Settings menu. On the flip side, the US tech giant is testing Google Tasks integration which could share the quick settings tray in the respective operating system.

Recently, a Google ChromeOS analyst on Twitter observed some new tick-tacks in the latest version and mentioned that the company dropped a redesigned Settings menu. In addition, the user said that some revamped app has removed the Advanced Drop Down capability.

Notably, the new settings menu in ChromeOS shows how the different sidebar tabs work. Earlier, some tabs are simply used as section shortcuts with a long list. However, the latest change splits each section up, which is more how Android, iOS, Windows, and every other platform.

These new alterations are live in developing versions. Though we may find them for every user with the upcoming Google ChromeOS updates.
