Google releases Android 13 July 2023 update for Pixel devices

The first week of July 2023 is approaching the end and Google has finally released a new Android 13 security patch update for Pixel devices. The latest development is bringing fixes to several critical bugs and vulnerabilities in the security system, making the handsets more reliable and responsive.

Accordingly, Google Pixel devices are getting the Android 13 July 2023 security update with the TQ3A.230705.001. At the same time, the US tech giant is serving these safety benefits to Pixel tablets with the build number TQ3C.230705.001.C1.

In terms of package size, the patch doesn’t weigh much (25MB approx) and you can efficiently download it to your handset. The newly released patch accompanies 26 security fixes tagged with 2023-07-01 and 20 fixes for 2023-07-05. These issues range from moderate to critical.

Excluding these, the company has also focused on the battery, charging, and UI aspects of the device. You can check the complete changelog below.

  • Fix for issue occasionally causing lock screen notification text to display behind unlock UI elements.

These fixes are available for all supported Pixel devices (Pixel 7 series to Pixel 4a) and are rolling in batches. Though you can keep checking the update section to download the firmware manually.
