Posted on

Google has surprised users with a late-stage update to Android 15. The tech giant has rolled out QPR1 Beta 3.1 for Pixel devices, addressing several bugs and improving overall stability. This update comes just before the official launch of Android 15 QPR1 in December.

Key Fixes in QPR1 Beta 3.1:

  • Media Control Bug: Fixed an issue where tapping media controls would close the notification shade without opening the app.
  • Notification Shelf Issue: Resolved a problem where long-pressing the device entry icon didn’t work when there were many notifications.
  • Bluetooth Volume Control: Addressed issues with volume control for certain Bluetooth devices.
  • Material You Color Consistency: Improved the consistency of color options derived from the wallpaper.
  • System Settings Scrollbar: Fixed inconsistent sizing and styling of the scrollbar in system settings.
  • NFC Payment Reliability: Addressed issues that caused NFC payments to fail.
  • Translation Accuracy: Improved translation accuracy for Indonesian and Hebrew languages in apps targeting older Android versions.

How to Get the Update:

If you’re already enrolled in the Android 15 Beta program, you’ll automatically receive the update. Otherwise, you can manually flash or sideload the factory images for your specific Pixel device.

With this latest update, Google aims to provide a smoother and more reliable Android 15 experience for users.
