Google revises privacy policy to collect your data for AI training

Google is busy with AI developments these days and the latest change in its privacy policy is a part of this theory. According to the information, the US tech giant updated its privacy guidelines and said that the company has the right to drag every detail you post online to build its AI tools.

Yes! Google made amendments to its privacy policy on July 1, in regards to AI training. Earlier, the regulations let the company gather public data and utilize it for business purposes. Mostly, it was collected for research and development to improve services, such as Google Translate.

But as of now, the tech maker is adding its AI models to this policy in what it can use data from you. Eventually, this process will pick your data to train Bard and Cloud AI products. To be specific, here is what the updated policy reads:

“Google uses the information to improve our services and to develop new products, features, and technologies that benefit our users and the public. For example, we use publicly available information to help train Google’s AI models and build products and features like Google Translate, Bard, and Cloud AI capabilities.”

Making it more clear, Google cites that the public data available online or at other public sources will also help in AI training and development. In case you concern about your essentials, the company won’t sneak into your private data linked to your account, only public data.
