Google TV now offers over 800 free channels
Google is providing more ways to make your life cheerful and enjoyable by offering over 800 free channels with Google TV. These efforts of the tech giant will allow you to watch more channels without downloading or launching an app just with a live stream.
On April 11, the company announced a partnership with streaming services Tubi, Plex, and Haystack News to bring more than 800 free live channels to its smart Google TV operating system. Now you can find them in the redesigned Live tab with the rest of your live channel services.
Additionally, Google TV now offers access to news channels from NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX. Also, these channels are integrated and are available around the world. Consequently, it will deliver programs in more than 10 languages including Spanish, Hindi, and Japanese.
The company is also offering a new TV guide that allows users to save their Favorites to the top for quick and easy access. Although these are free channels, those who have a premium live TV subscription from YouTube TV or Sling TV, can now use the Live tab to watch their favorite content.
However, these over 800 free live stream channels will be available on all Google TV devices in the US, including Chromecast with Google TV and TVs with Google TV built-in from Sony, TCL, Hisense, and Philips.
