Google has recently announced that they are planning to ban Russian users to buy apps, games, IAPs, and subscriptions through the Google play store in the coming days. Which seems the biggest step against the Russian troop’s arms to support Ukraine.

Russia will no longer be able to make subscription payments that have been disabled for games downloaded in these markets. No upcoming game updates will be available in Russia and Belarus.
Meanwhile, the available free applications on Google Play Store will continue to exist to download. A likely the live subscription and purchase will also running-wisely until the end of the current billing period but is canceled later, due to non-payment.
Today Rovio has removed all its games from app stores, including Google Play and Apple App Store, in Russia and Belarus. In-App Purchases have been disabled for downloaded games in these markets. No upcoming game updates will be available in Russia and Belarus.

As a solution, Google proposes to postpone the renewal of users, which is possible for up to a year. Google amended that Play Store users in Russia will not able to purchase apps, games, and more.
Their efforts are really helping Ukraine in the fight against the invasion, albeit a little bit, and it’s really nice to see how the gaming community continues and has a positive impact on the conflicts that go down in the history books.
