HarmonyOS 2 beta testing starts for Huawei P20 and P20 Pro
Huawei has finally started the HarmonyOS 2 closed beta for Huawei P20 and P20 Pro in China. The select users will get the chance to test the beta builds of the new OS and the interested ones can enroll in the beta activity, after which they will receive soon receive the beta builds.
As per Huawei’s roadmap, the P20 and P20 Pro users were supposed to get this beta in the first half of 2022, but as the company is speeding up the process and have some high aims with the OS, it’s been seeded early than expected.

However, the beta program is limited to China, while the global users are still waiting for their chance to test the beta. Huawei is soon expected to expand the reach of HarmonyOS 2.0 for the users internationally.
Huawei P20 gets a major upgrade after 1 year
Huawei P20 and P20 Pro are the old phones from the company as they were launched in 2018 and come with several high-end features including new AI-powered photography. To be mentioned, these smartphones were the first in the world with a triple rear camera setup.
The P20 series came pre-packed with EMUI 8.1 and received the major upgrades till EMUI 10. And after one year of no upgrade, these smartphones are getting a whole new software. This comes as a surprise for these users and after installing the HarmonyOS 2.0 they will get a whole new experience.
The HarmonyOS 2.0 comes with features such as a new home screen, service widgets, control panel, Huawei share, smart folder, and more. Further, it offers a more secure environment than the previous one. The new Super Device feature of HM OS allows users to control a bunch of other devices using a single supermodel.
