HarmonyOS 2 software update tracker for Huawei P30 Pro
Huawei unveiled its new operating system, the HarmonyOS 2.0 on June 02, and soon after that, the company has released its plan for upgrading 100 devices. The new HarmonyOS 2.0 introduces some new features and capabilities for Huawei devices including the supermodel function which allows users to control a bunch of devices with one super device.
Huawei P30 Pro came pre-installed with Android 9 based EMUI 9.1 and currently, EMUI 11 is the latest OS installed on these devices. Further, this smartphone is one of Huawei’s top priorities for the new HarmonyOS 2.0 upgrade.
For those unaware, Huawei launched the P30 Pro smartphone back in 2019 with a bunch of premium features and next-level hardware capabilities such as an OLED display, a powerful Kirin 980 processor, a high-end camera, and much more.

Huawei’s expectation from this new OS is pretty high and wants to fully adopt it into its ecosystem. The company aims to install HarmonyOS 2.0 on 300 million devices in 2021.
The Huawei P30 Pro will receive HarmonyOS 2.0 beta via OTA and replace the EMUI 11 with a brand new user interface. Ahead of the stable release, the smartphone will receive several beta builds with improvements and bug fixes.
