OnePlus has started rolling out the Android 11 based OxygenOS 11 update to the OnePlus 8 series devices. The new OxygenOS 11 comes with a lot of new features and some major changes, including a new user interface.
Some of the OnePlus users who also use Amazon Alexa are questioning on the OnePlus forum, how to use the Hands-Free feature of Amazon Alexa in OxygenOS 11? In the OxygenOS Monthly FAQ session, the company has given directions to use that.
If you are an OnePlus 8 series user and haven’t found any direction to allow the Alexa Hands-Free feature with OxygenOS 11. Do follow the steps given below.
- Download the Amazon app via Google Play Store
- When asked for permission to the microphone during the Alexa Hands-Free feature setup, choose “While using the app”
Meanwhile, if you have lost access to the Alexa Hands-Free feature, you can follow the steps below:
- Settings
- Alexa on this Phone
- Alexa Hands-Free
- Turn ‘On’ Alexa Hands-Free
You will be asked to provide permission to a microphone and choose “While using the app”
