Here’s why I am missing OnePlus OxygenOS 11 upgrade
OnePlus has made some interesting changes and additions to the latest OxygenOS 13 operating system. From smoother customizations to new hidden features, the software brings an amazing phase to your smartphone. However, there are a few elements that often reminds me of how good was the previous OnePlus OxygenOS 11 upgrade. Though it was simple and minimalistic, it offered worth-praising features to my handset.
So far, we have found many things that were perfectly functioning in OxygenOS 11 and don’t require any specific change. However, in order to give a unique and outstanding look to the new operating system, the tech maker has just removed a few useful and best features.

If you have used both OxygenOS 11 as well as 13, then you might be knowing some elements that are implemented unnecessarily in the latest upgrade. For instance, the combination of Shelf and Google Discover. Though it hadn’t created any specific issue for the device. But it has just made the usage of Shelf more complicated which often irritates many users.

Eventually, OxygenOS 13 has completely taken away the ability to see the notifications, unless one specifically reaches the top of the screen to see them, or has the shelf completely off without any alternative. Another strange thing that I found is the ‘clear all apps’ tab. While closing all apps that are active in the background, all apps get deactivated except the one you are running at that very moment.
Similarly, the Hides App feature has become incredibly weak with OxygenOS 13 upgrade. It simply hides the launcher when enabled which doesn’t make much sense. On the flip side, the performance efficiency, and battery sections have just lost their value with this latest upgrade. It’s not only me, but many OnePlus smartphone users believe that OxygenOS 11 was the last true operating system upgrade. Thereafter the company started taking things leniently.
OxygenOS 13.1 – A Hope!
Now, we are going to get a new software upgrade in the coming days – OxygenOS 13.1. And we hope that the company will take a few measures to improve and modify the new version with better features and functions.
