Honor 8X getting new update with security improvements
Huawei is sending the latest update for the older Honor 8X smartphone. The update installs a new November 2020 security patch for improved system security and device stability. Other than the improved security this update does not add any new feature to the smartphone.
The older Honor 8X was initially launched with EMUI 8.0 and is currently operating on EMUI 10.0. However, the device is no longer eligible for any major upgrade including EMUI 10.1 or EMUI 11. (Via – Huawei Central)
Users can identify the latest update on the smartphone with firmware version EMUI 10.0.0.029 that comes with an update size of 449MB. The update is currently rolling out in Europe and will soon expand to the other regions as well. Also, the update is currently rolling out in batches so it may take time to reach your device.
