Huawei EMUI 11 Tip: How to use Quick Switch Apps gestures
If you are not a KEY-type person and prefer to play fast with your smartphone, you may have heard of a feature called navigation gestures. This feature lets you simply close, open, and move back and forth easily by swiping your fingers on the display.
Navigation gestures are definitely helpful and easy, aren’t they? But there is one more navigation gesture feature that is available in most Huawei devices but users cannot use it and with the introduction of EMUI 11 has become complete with the new flow.

We’re talking about a quick switch between the app feature that allows users to switch between background apps with just a finger swipe or slide at the bottom of the screen.
First, to use the quick app switch, you need to enable the Navigation gesture function via:
- Open Settings
- System & updates
- Tap on Gestures
There are two types of gestures you can perform to execute this feature.
- By swiping across the bottom of the screen in an arc to switch between apps
- By sliding the bottom edge of the screen to switch between apps. But for this, you need to enable this part of the feature enabled from the Settings > System & updates > Gestures > Settings > enable Slide across the bottom to switch apps.
