This is a bit surprising but the new HarmonyOS 2.0 can even detect a fake charger if you are using it with your smartphone. Bruce Lee, the president of Huawei’s consumer business product line revealed that the new HM OS comes with a charger smart identification function to detect fake chargers used while charging.

This tech can detect if the charger is original or fake that is even labeled with the Huawei branding on them. It is done by showing a sign that indicates the charger’s reality. If the notification appears while you charge your smartphone, it’s surely a duplicate one. It is recommended to change it with the original to prevent severe accidents.

Charging your smartphone properly can prevent some serious damages that could be caused by using careless charging techniques. With the evolution of the charging tech, there are several alternative methods for charging your smartphones.

Huawei aims to ensure the safety of its users while charging looking at the number of incidents happening with the users that could also cost a life. Secondly, it also prevents the battery of the device from being exploited due to the bad quality of the fake charger.

Here’s what fake manufacturers do?

What fake charger manufacturers do is they make a 10W charger look like a 40W one with their manipulative manufacturing. While making a charger of 40W, the makers put a thick iron piece inside it to match the weight with the original 40W charger. As a result, the users get manipulated and buy the fake one looking at the low prices.
