Huawei Hongmeng OS 2.0 smartphone rollout process allegedly leaked
At Huawei Developers Conference (HDC) 2020 officially launched EMUI 11 and Hongmeng OS 2.0. Richard Yu also said that the beta version of mobile will be released in December 2020 and smartphones will be fully upgraded to support Hongmeng OS in 2021.
It is a new-microkernel-based, distributed operating system developed by Huawei to provide a new user experience across different devices of all scenarios.

Wang Chenglu, president of Huawei’s consumer BG software department said that Huawei is planning to provide a Beta of Hongmeng OS 2.0 of the mobile version to developers in December this year.
Regarding this subject, a tipster from Weibo has now leaked the adaption process of Hongmeng OS on smartphones featuring the following Kirin processors:
- Kirin 9000 (first batch)
- Kirin 990 5G (second batch)
- Kirin 990 4G (partial)/985/820 (partial) (third Batch)
- Kirin 820 (partial), 980, 990 4G (partial) (fourth batch)
- Kirin 810, 710 (partial) (last batch)
According to information, some mobile phone users will be open to upgrading the Hongmeng OS 2.0 in January and February next year. The initial upgrade will be verified for several months. After that, the update will fully be released.
