Huawei Mate 20 new software update brings improvements (HarmonyOS 2 beta)
According to the latest information, Huawei is sending a new software update for the Mate 20 series of devices that are already running the HarmonyOS 2.0 beta update. This new firmware only brings some sorts of optimizations rather than any other major change.
Users can identify the new update with the HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.138 upgraded from version 2.0.0.127 for Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X 4G, and Mate 20 RS Porsche Design. It can be downloaded over the air on these aforementioned devices.

Just like other smartphones getting new battery optimizations, the Mate 20 phones are also receiving these changes for better battery backup, and secondly, they are also getting support for Huawei FreeBuds 4 with the Super Device functionality.
The same update is also rolling out for several other Huawei devices including Huawei Mate 40, Mate 30, P40, Mate X2, and MatePad Pro. Check more here

Huawei Mate 20 HarmonyOS 2:
The Mate 20 devices were among the top devices from Huawei listed for getting the HarmonyOS 2 update, so far these smartphones have received the beta update. However, the beta program is currently limited to the Chinese market and we expect the company to soon release its plan for expansion.
