Huawei has started releasing a new software update for the Mate 40 series of devices running HarmonyOS 2.0. This update brings battery improvements besides any new features or changes.
Huawei Mate 40 battery improvements update can be identified with the HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.138 (C00E13R6P2patch01). This update carries an update size of around 31.29MB.

As per the changelog, the new software update for Huawei Mate 40 reduces the power consumption and brings battery improvements. Further, it enhances the overall user experience.

- Maintain enough battery and storage on the device
The Mate 40 series phones became the initial ones to get HarmonyOS 2.0 update since the beta release. These phones have also received the stable version in the first batch itself.
However, the HM OS software is currently rolling out for Chinese users and the global plan should soon come up.
More HarmonyOS 2.0 features coming for Huawei Mate 40?
Being the flagship, the Huawei Mate 40 phones have received all the new HarmonyOS 2.0 updates in the first stage of the rollout. There has been a leak previously, which hinted that the P50 phones might arrive with a new HarmonyOS 2.0 version (could be HarmonyOS 2.1 or 2.5, not confirmed).
This update is expected to add some more features and tweaks to the existing ones. Meanwhile, if this kind of update comes, then it will also be available for other Huawei devices.
And being the top flagships, Mate 40 could also get those new variations soon. Followed by other eligible models. Well, as of now there is just some kind of battery improvements rolling out.
