Huawei is releasing a new HarmonyOS based July 2021 security update for the newly unveiled MatePad 11 tablet with HarmonyOS 2.0 globally. The new firmware carries the HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.138 upgraded from 2.0.0.122 (C432E2R2P1).
This new update for the tablet adds new features, brings improvements, and installs the latest HarmonyOS 2.0 security patch released in July 2021 to optimize the overall device performance. Besides these sorts of changes, the update has nothing else to offer.

According to Huawei, the HarmonyOS July 2021 security patch for Huawei devices fixes 43 CVEs in the kernel, 6 CVEs in the framework, 6 CVEs in apps, ad 65 CVEs in third-party libraries. With this latest update, the MatePad 11 becomes the first tablet to install the HarmonyOS July 2021 security patch.
Apart from the security patch, the update also improves horizontal display, adds support for Huawei FreeBuds 4, HD video playback, and optimizes the system stability for a better users experience. You can check the detailed changelog mentioned below.
Before you update do remember to maintain enough battery and storage on your device. Also, keep in mind that it is currently rolling out in batches and may take time to reach your device and the HarmonyOS 2.0 version and size may vary.

- Then navigate to System & updates >> Software updates >> Check for updates
