Huawei Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro getting new update with system improvements

Huawei launched the Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro back in December 2020 with loads of premium features including the 7 nano-meter-based Kirin 985 and the latest EMUI 11 operating system. And now these sets of smartphones are receiving new updates with improvements and optimizations.

Since their launch, this is the second update that these new smartphones are receiving via OTA. It brings optimizations for the Nova 8 phones including the fingerprint unlocking and gaming experience. Further, it also brings improvements to the system stability for an enhanced experience.

Huawei Nova 8 users can identify the latest firmware with the EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.126 which is updated from 11.0.0.121. While the Nova 8 Pro is updated to EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.121 from version 11.0.0.118. (Via – Huawei Central)

It is important to note that the update is rolling out in batches, so it may take some time to reach your device, and also its availability may vary according to the region. If you have received the update on your device then you can download it using the steps given below.

How to update:

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
