Huawei P10 series receiving May 2020 update, brings Huawei Assistant and Smart Charge features
Huawei P10 series starts getting May 2020 security update, which comes with smart features such as Huawei Assitant and Smart Charge. This update also installs Android patches to improves system security.
Since the P10 series was officially launched in early 2017, these phones came pre-installed with EMUI 5.1 (Android 7). Currently, these devices are running on EMUI 9.1 and there’s no confirmation regarding EMUI 10.
The May 2020 update brings security patches from Huawei and Google, that fixes different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 2 critical and 22 high and 2 Medium levels of CVEs.

SOFTWARE INFORMATION:
May Security update for Huawei P10 and P10 Plus comes with EMUI 9.1.0.275. Users will have to download a 4.05GB software package to install this update.
Important: Software version, size, and rollout availability could be different in different countries.

HOW TO CHECK FOR UPDATE:
[Through Settings] Settings – System & updates – Software update – CHECK FOR UPDATES – Download and install.
[Through Support App] Open Support App – Service Tab – Update – CHECK FOR UPDATES – Download and install.
CHANGELOG OF MAY 2020 UPDATE:
Smart Charge: Adds the Smart Charge mode, reducing battery aging by adapting and preventing the battery from being continuously charged when full. (This feature is enabled by default.)
Huawei Assistant: Adds Huawei Assistant to the home screen, providing smart reminders personalized news, and other content relevant to you.
Security: Integrates Android security patches released in May 2020 for improved system security.

Huawei Assistant: Huawei Assistant provides smart reminders, personalized news, and other content relevant to you. The assistant is accessible via the home screen.
Just swipe right on the home screen to access Huawei Assistant (or left if you are using a bi-directional language). Huawei Assistant can’t be accessed directly from AppGallery.
