Huawei has begun to roll out the November 2021 security update for the Huawei P40 users. As informed, the new update will solve various issues and fix the existing bugs defined in the security patch, users won’t find anything new in this.
However, the company sends the latest P40 HarmonyOS 2.0.0.212 version update for the entire series. The security patches will help to solve the glitches caused by various bugs and the device system will deliver more optimized performance.

There are two ways for downloading this update- with the help of the device’s settings or My Huawei App. Anyway, below you can find the step-by-step guidance of both procedures, use anyone you feel more comfortable with.
Via Smartphone Settings:
- Open Settings
- Then tap on System & updates
- Click Software update
- Tap on Check for updates option
- If a new update shows up, then click Download and install
Via My Huawei App:
- Open the app
- Then go to the Service tab
- Click the Update button
- Tap on Check for update option,
- If found any then click Download and install
- After installing reboot the device

The update description shows that it won’t delete any personal data, still, an advance backup will be safer. Furthermore, you need to make sure enough battery backup, storage availability, and WiFi connection to install the November 2021 update on your Huawei P40 smartphones.
