Huawei’s market share in the smartphone segment has declined in the one last year which was nearly 17% in Q1 2020 dropped to just 4 percent in Q1 2021. Looking at these stats, Apple analyst Ming-chi Kuo predicts that the iPhone 13 this year will record strong growth due to Huawei’s US ban.
In 2019, Huawei was listed on the United States’ Entity list as the US government alleged it to leaked data to China authorities secretly. The company was forced to stop production and its major clients for the component were not allowed to deal with the Chinese OEM. As a result, the company got short of the component to produce its products.

The ban of Huawei in the US has been beneficial for several companies as it reduced the competition, while many have also faced loss in some ways. The Cupertino-based tech giant seems to make some more profit this year after the launch of the iPhone 13.
Kuo predicts that Apple will gain a good amount of market share in the United States due to the new upgrades that will come in these iPhones and the other reason being the Huawei ban in the nation.
Mate 50 series might get canceled, Huawei P50 phones also delayed
The component shortage due to the US restrictions has made Huawei’s life miserable affecting its upcoming flagship products. The upcoming Mate 50 series which tended to be released in the second half might be canceled, that is what the reports and the conditions of the Chinese OEM suggest.

While the P50 phones which were supposed to be launched in the first half of the year are postponed to the second half. This will further result in the decline of Huawei’s smartphone business which was already losing. Meanwhile, the company is continuously struggling to make its comeback in the market.
