iPhone 17 Series: A closer look at Apple’s next-gen lineup
iPhone 17 Air: A Sleek, Budget-Friendly Option
Apple is reportedly working on a new iPhone model, tentatively named the “iPhone 17 Air,” which aims to offer a more affordable option without compromising on performance. This device is expected to be remarkably thin, measuring just 5-6mm, making it the slimmest iPhone ever.
However, to achieve this sleek design, Apple may have to make some compromises. The iPhone 17 Air could rely solely on eSIM technology, eliminating the need for a physical SIM card tray. Additionally, it may feature a single speaker, located in the earpiece, due to space constraints.
Despite these compromises, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to pack a punch with an Apple-designed 5G modem and a powerful A19 chip. However, it may lack the ultra-fast mmWave 5G capabilities and larger battery found in higher-end models.
iPhone 17 Pro: A Design Revolution
The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are set to introduce significant design changes, marking a departure from recent years. These models are expected to feature an aluminum frame, a design choice that hasn’t been seen on high-end iPhones since the transition to stainless steel.
The rear of the devices will also feature a unique design, combining aluminum and glass. The top half will be made of aluminum and house a larger, rectangular camera bump, while the bottom half will remain glass to support wireless charging.
These design changes aim to offer a fresh and distinctive look for the iPhone 17 Pro models, while also potentially reducing production costs.
