Xiaomi has released a new MIUI 12.5 beta update with version 21.10.12 in China. The new update brings optimizations for the messaging app.

The newest MIUI 12.5 beta update optimizes some experiences issues of short messages. However, there’s no additional feature or change noted in the update. Previously, the update added a password management feature to improves the users’ experience.

Optimize some experience issues
Due to the major version upgrade of Android, Redmi K40 and Xiaomi 10S will temporarily suspend the release of internal testing from September 22, 2021. In the weekly participation standard of internal testing, you can vote on the version you are using and release experience stickers.
In order to give Mi Fan friends a better experience in using the test version, Mi 11, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Pro, Redmi K40 Pro, Mi 11 Youth Edition are further testing the system stability, and the test results will be released later.
