Leak: iPhone 12 models to feature a new design with flat edges

Apple’s new iPhones are approaching their release and the company could announce their launch date any time or most probably in the Apple event on September 15.

Ahead of their launch, these new iPhones have started to make rumors and news related to their designs and features. An information related to the designs of these new iPhones has popped up. EverythingApplePro has shared a video on Twitter showcasing the back panel of the phone.

The video reveals the back design of the iPhone which looks similar to its predecessor iPhone 11. Although there are some changes in the rear camera setup.

The camera contains three camera lenses in a triangular format with a LED flash on top of the ultra-wide lens. An additional slot is added below the ultra-wide lens which could feature the LiDAR scanner as rumored. You can take a closer look at this new camera setup in the picture below.

Despite the Lidar scanner, we didn’t notice any other changes in the camera setup from the earlier iPhone 11. Although the back panel does not reveals much details but it does tell about the flat-edged design that it could feature. As rumored earlier the new iPhones could have designs similar to the new iPad pro-2020 and the video also reveals the flat-edged design for new iPhones.

The panel layout further depicts other details such as a reallocated SIM tray and a new cutout on the right side of the phone which could probably feature a 5G antenna. As you can see in the video these were some of the details about the design of the new iPhones.

As we heard some information, the LiDAR scanner could only feature in the ‘Pro’ models. So, the camera design for the other two non-Pro models could differ.
