MacBook Air 2022 rumored to come with M2 Chip
Apple is doing continuous experiments with its MacBook and has undergone many changes since 2008. The company has unveiled its Mac Studio and Mac Studio Display earlier in a “Peek Performance“ event last Tuesday. But MacBook Air was not shown at that time.
Reportedly, Bloomberg’s tech analysts like “Mark Gurman” and Apple watchers revealed that 2022 Macs could come with M2 Chip. Which could definitely boost the CPU performance, but with no alterations in graphics capabilities.
As we all know last year the MacBook Air was among those laptops that got upgraded to Apple’s new M1 chips, but there were no changes in its feature and design. Both the November 2021 event and March 2022 event passed without any new upgrade for MacBook Air.
The M2 Chip could be based on the A15 Chip and may also allegedly feature the same eight-core architectured CPU of M1 but which could boast a more powerful ten-core built-in graphics processing unit as well.
However, a March 2022 tweet from the Apple analyst “Ming-Chi Kuo” predicts the next MacBook Air will have an M1 Chip but not a new M2 Processor. Though it could come with a new Pro-Style design, upgraded webcam, and revised ports.
Rumors are in the “Air”, that Apple may also ditch words such as “Air” or “Pro” in the coming models. We hope that we could see some out-of-the-league and significant design changes, but we can guess this is likely to be an internal upgrade only. Stay with us for more updates on M2 Chip and the newly designed “MacBook” 2022.
