A Meta India spokesman said Manish Chopra, Meta India’s director and head of partnerships, will take the vacancy left by Mohan on an interim basis.
“Over the past four years, Mohan has been instrumental in shaping and expanding our India business,” Nicola Mendelsohn, vice president of Meta’s Global Business Group, said in a statement.
We have a strong leadership team and will remain firmly committed to the Indian market going forward, continuing all our work and partnerships.”
Mohan will join Meta rival Snap after his departure and serve as president of Snap’s Asia-Pacific business, according to people familiar with the matter. Snap is the parent company of the photo-sharing app Snapchat.
