Moreover, WhatsApp has more than 2 billion users worldwide, with India as the largest market with more than 400 million users. Downdetector data shows that more than 28,000 reports have been received from India that WhatsApp stopped working at noon.

In addition, there were over 67,000 reports from the UK. Although the outage occurred at night in the United States, Downdetector recorded more than 4,600 user reports in the United States.
