Xiaomi has released the latest MIUI 12 update for some of its devices in different regions. According to the latest information, Mi MIX 3 5G will be getting the MIUI 12 update based on Android 9 in October.

The MIUI 12 update will release in the end of October. You can also check the update plan for MIX 3 taken from the Xioami’s customer support email:
- July-end: security update
- Oct-end: MIUI 12 + security patch
- Dec-end 2020: security patch
- March-end 2021: security patch
The information has confirmed by the support team that Android 10 will not be rolled out for the Mi MIX 3 5G. However, this device will receive MIUI 12 and there is a chance for Android 11 but will not receive an update to Android 10 and MIUI 11.
