Motorola finally rolls out Android 10 update for Moto G8 Play
The phone makers are currently sending the latest Android 11 version for their smartphones that comes with many new features alongside refreshed user interface. Motorola is also rolling out these latest changes to one of its G-series devices.
Launched in October 2019, the Moto G8 Play comes with Android 9 Pie out of the box, and now the smartphone is receiving its first major Android upgrade that is Android 10. It took so long for the company to release this update but it’s finally out.
Initially rolling out in Brazil, the new update can be identified with software version QMD.47-19. It is already started to roll out from February 08, 2021, reveals the Motorola Support page. Along with the Android 10 OS, this latest firmware also brings December 2020 security patch for improved system security and device stability.

The update comes with a bunch of new features that are already available in most smartphones such as dark mode, full navigation gestures, and some other UI changes and improvements to privacy.
For those who are not aware, the Moto G8 Play is a budget device that packs some basic features such as an HD+ display, 13MP camera, 4000mAh battery, and more. The handset is currently getting the update in Brazil which may soon expand to other regions as well.
If the update has already hit then you can head on to your phone’s settings and then download it under the software update section. Coming to the Android 11 which is currently releasing, there is no clear thought on when this handset will get this update and if it will get or not.
