Verizon has started sending a new update for the Motorola G Play devices in the US, which installs the July 2023 security patch. The latest rollout aims to improve the overall safety aspects of the handset and strengthen it against harmful bugs and malicious attacks.
Looking into the changelog, Motorola G Play (2023) smartphone users at Verizon can identify the July 2023 update with the Android S3SGS32.39-181-5 build number. On the flip side, maintain at least 500MB of free space to store the firmware without any interruption.
The latest update doesn’t hold major changes except for the July 2023 patch. However, the new addition eliminates hidden vulnerabilities and privacy exploits that often compromise user experience and result in app crashing. Hence, install the update as it appears on the notification panel.
