Nest Hub Max users will soon say goodbye to Google Meet and Zoom as the company has decided to drop the support for these apps later this month. On the other hand, some users noticed a new prompt that hints at the end of this significant capability.
According to some Nest Hub Max owners on Reddit, the set-up process for Google Meet on the device now shows a new message saying:
“Joining meetings will no longer be available on this device starting September 28.”
Meanwhile, the Zoom app has shown likewise announcement in July this year. The advance notice read that all support for Zoom for Google Nest Hub Max will end on September 30, 2023. Thus, the app will stop functioning and won’t receive new updates.
Besides, new installations or application sign-ins on Nest Hub Max for Google Meet will not be possible after the end of support. Eventually, the Nest Hub Max has been familiar in the market due to its video calling facility and this end could impact the overall sale of the device.
