Google has just begun rolling out version 12.15.7.29 of the Google app through the Play Store. These updates include support for voice commands while navigating, even if you don’t have an active internet connection, easy access to privacy settings, and more.
The update also includes hints for an upcoming feature called “My Actions,” which lets you easily set up custom shortcuts for your favorite Google Assistant commands.

Although you can already routinely create and trigger a series of custom commands, the upcoming “My Actions” feature will trigger shortcuts for users by tapping the button. Based on the above strings, it looks like you’ll be able to “pin” a custom action somewhere as a button, although it’s unclear where that will be.
The feature may allow you to add custom actions to your home screen, as Google has previously released a feature that lets you create home screen shortcuts for Google Assistant routines.
According to XDA, they’re working on fully activating the feature at the moment, but for now, here’s a screenshot of what the “My Actions” setup screen looks like to add a custom action attached.
As you can see, the setup screen states that the feature “Google Assistant can be configured to do anything, in just one tap.” It includes some sample commands that you can try to get a sense of the feature and the “set up” button to get started. We will update this post to learn more about the feature.
