New iPhone SE 2022 compared with iPhone SE 2020
Apple has announced the new 3rd-Gen, iPhone SE during the event on the 8th of March 2022. The 2022 iPhone 2022 succeeds the iPhone SE from 2020 and introduces 5G connectivity, but retains a familiar design as we have seen since 2017.

iPhone SE (3rd Generation) comes with a 4.7-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1334 x 750 Pixels with a Pixel density of 326ppi. The company here could have upgraded its display to OLED, which could at least make some difference between this 3rd-Gen iPhone SE and iPhone 13 mini. Compared with its predecessor and seen the size and resolution of the device have not changed, and still come P3 wide color display and includes Haptic touch as well.

The bigger difference between the device of both generations is that iPhone SE 3 is equipped with tough glass in the front and back, specification matching as same in iPhone 13. Both the handsets are IP67 certified and have proper water and dust resistance, but it does not offer a MagSafe technology as found in other iPhones. The device comes with a Touch ID Home button differentiating it from other iPhones that come with Face ID recognition.

iPhone SE 3rd-Gen comes with an A15 Bionic Chip, which means this phone offers 5G connectivity like its other siblings. The device is available with three different storage models they are 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. On the other side, this 3rd-Gen phone has improved battery life with 15 hours of video streaming, which is definitely a satisfactory extension over the previous 2nd-Gen model.

Apple’s 3rd generation phone featured a single-lens camera on the rear, a 12MP wide sensor, and f/1.8 aperture with optical image stabilization. The front camera consists of a 7MP sensor, which is similar to the previous iPhone SE.
When it comes to features, iPhone SE 2022 has introduced various new modes such as Deep Fusion, new Photo Graphic Styles offers Portrait mode and Portrait Lighting with the rear camera. But this new generation phone misses out on Apple’s Cinematic Mode, and the front camera does not come with any such modes.
Comparing the price of both generations of devices, third-gen models are somewhat costlier than their predecessors. Depending upon its various storage configuration, iPhone SE 2 was earlier made available to the commons at a price range of 392 US dollars to 590 US Dollars, and now it’s offered in a range of 574 to 640 US dollars.
The Design specs of both generations remain unchanged, but improved camera and hardware feature makes it a worthful buy upgrading itself from older Touch ID. As we can see under the hood the device has made some solid improvements such as the new age A15 Bionic Chip, which matches the power of the iPhone 13 mini and provides 5G capabilities at a lower price.
