Yesterday, Xiaomi began rolling out the new MIUI 12.5 beta update for its eligible smartphones. It fixed several bugs such as blur disappearance, floating notification display, and others.
Alongside this, the tech giant also added a new feature that allows you to see the exact battery temperature of your phone. Although the feature wasn’t mentioned in the changelog, xiaomiui informed us later via their Twitter post.

Well, knowing the temperature, at least of the battery, was as easy as entering the MIUI settings. But the data provided from this menu was somewhat confusing, especially for those who do not know which temperature should be correct.
The screenshots provided by xiaomiui show that Xiaomi has replaced the battery temperature indicator with three new states, such as – hot, cold, and normal. Previously, the temperature was shown in Celcius.
With this, one will be able to know which temperature is more suitable or whether the battery of Xiaomi, Redmi, or Poco is at the right temperature or too hot or cold without any prior knowledge.
As mentioned above the new feature is a part of the Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 beat update, thus, it is limited to China. However, it will surely make a global debut, probably with future MIUI 12.5 updated or MIUI 13.
