No More False Hope: Galaxy S8, S8+, and Note 8 will not receive One UI 2.0/Android 10
Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10 series have been getting Android 10-based One UI 2.0 beta for weeks. Recently, the Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9 series have received the One UI 2.0 beta update too.
However, if you are waiting for the One UI 2.0 update on your Galaxy S8, S8+, and Note 8, you should not wait. Why?
Recently, Samsung shared the Android 10 update timeline, where it told the expected release date for all eligible smartphones. If the software update timeline is to be believed, the Galaxy S8, S8+, and Note 8 smartphones will not get the Android 10 update.
If you are a Note 8 or Galaxy S8 series user and still hoping for the next major (Android 10) update, its time to accept the reality.
Samsung doesn’t give more than 2 major (Android) OS upgrades to its smartphones and the Galaxy Note 8 and S8 series have already received the Android Oreo and Android Pie update. They were launched with Android Nougat.
A suggestion to our readers, just don’t trust those benchmark listing with a device running Android 10. They could be correct but with custom OS, not One UI 2.0 and Android 10.
