Last week, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 with new-gen technology and features. The company also launched the Android 11-based One UI 3.1.1 alongside.
The latest One UI version brings some unique features to the newly launched Galaxy devices, we all were hoping that those features (or some of them) will reach other Galaxy devices with future software updates. As Samsung did this in past too, just recently, earlier this year Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 series with the One UI 3.1, the latest widely available version of One UI.

Samsung has updated several Galaxy devices with the One UI 3.1, which was first launched with the Galaxy S21 series, and new devices are also coming with pre-installed Android 11-based One UI 3.1.
Well, this is not going to happen this time. According to a new report, Samsung won’t be releasing the One UI 3.1.1 update for more Galaxy devices.
In Samsung’s Korea Community, a member of Samsung’s mobile team claimed that One UI 3.1.1 won’t release for current Galaxy phones and tablets.
“The team member further revealed that Samsung will release some of the app One UI 3.1.1 improvements and system enhancements to some of the Galaxy flagships through a firmware update. However, you won’t be able to see the One UI 3.1.1 mark on your Galaxy phone’s software info page.”
In addition, the Galaxy S20 series devices will start getting the One UI 3.1.1 improvements from August 17, followed by the Galaxy S21 series from August 25 and the Galaxy Note 20 series thereafter.
No One UI 3.1.1 means One UI 4.0 is coming soon!
Samsung is soon going to start the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 Beta program for the Galaxy devices, starting with the Galaxy S21 series.
The company may start the stable rollout in November 2021. Stay tuned for more information.
