Nokia 3.4 is first to grab June 2023 security patch

Posted on

Nokia has begun delivering the first June 2023 security patch for Nokia 3.4 devices. The latest software rollout is making its way to India at present. However, the manufacturer won’t take much time to spread new improvements in other regions across the globe.

It’s been some time since the Finland firm has served any rollout to its devices. Perhaps, a reason behind the halt on the update distribution could be the introduction of 5G network slicing solutions for the Android 14 upgrade (read the full story HERE).

Anyhow, the company is coming back to its routine and has started releasing the June 2023 security patch for the Nokia 3.4 handsets. The software package weighs only 29.31 Megabytes so you don’t need to think twice before downloading the update.

In terms of offerings, the changelog only points out the newly released security patch released in June 2023. Yet, the addition has its own benefits for your phone. Eventually, it fixes hidden bugs and vulnerabilities in the operating system that often cause system crashes and data loss.

On the flip side, it shields your important files against harmful malware and improves the overall functioning of the device. Thus, you should install the firmware as soon as it shows up on the notification panel of your smartphone. Or else, you can tune into the Settings app for a manual installation.

How to check for the update?

You can scan the latest software update by visiting the system settings and following the instructions given below:

  • Open the System & Updates section
  • Select the Software Update option
