Nokia has started releasing the May 2023 security patch for its devices and now it’s the turn of Nokia 5.4. The tech giant is pushing off a new update for the handsets which comes with a bunch of fixes and improvements for the security system.
Alongside fixes, the new firmware may highlight tweaks related to battery life, performance efficiency, and more. Currently, the May 2023 security patch for Nokia 5.4 is rolling out in Sri Lanka. But as usual, the company will not take much time to spread the respective update widely across the globe.
Talking about the software information, the new update installs the latest security patch, released this month. Eventually, this addition provides some stability refinements to the system’s security. On the flip side, the patch fixes dozen of vulnerabilities that were harming the files and data saved on the phone.
It further repairs the gaps that could become an entrance for bugs and harmful malware. This may even lead to system crashes and data loss. Thus, we will recommend the corresponding phone holders download the firmware as it appears on the notification panel.
Accordingly, the update holds a small package size of 17.22MB. Other than the patch details, there aren’t additional changes for the handy gadget. Yet, it is better to check the storage space, and battery level, and use a standard internet connection for a successful installation.

In case you have not received the update notification, visit the Settings app of your smartphone > then tap on the System and Updates section. Now click on the Check for Updates, and let the device search for new versions. Once available, tap the Download and Install button.
