Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update rolling out for Samsung Galaxy A42 5G

Posted on

Samsung has recently launched the Galaxy A42 5G back in 2020 that comes with a bunch of functions and support for 5G connectivity in some regions. The handset was launched pre-packed with Android 10 based One UI 2.5.

As per the latest information, the Galaxy A42 5G is now getting a direct update to One UI 3.1 and the company skipped the One UI 3.0 like some other models. This means that the device is now getting its first major upgrade from Android 10 to Android 11 OS.

Samsung One UI 3.1 brings several new features including private share, object eraser, Eye Comfort Shield, video call effects, remove the location of images before sharing, Director’s view, and much more. [Read the latest One UI 3.0 features]

Along with the new features and UI changes, the update also installs February 2021 security update for improved system security and device stability. Security improvements are always important for any device as they keep the security updates to protect them against any external threats.
